Instrument Training at Hunter Valley Aviation
Multi-Engine Rating
A multi-engine rating allows a pilot to fly an aircraft with more
than one engine. The rating requires about 7 hours of training. Having
a second engine provides reassurance to any nervous passengers that
you may carry.
Note that each multi engine aircraft you wish to fly you must be
endorsed.
Command Instrument Rating
Without a command instrument rating a pilot is required to remain
in visual meteorological conditions at all times. Unfortunately,
the weather does not always permit this, so an instrument rating
may be obtained to enable a pilot to fly in less than visual conditions.
Private Instrument Rating
The Private instrument rating allows the pilot to fly enroute through
cloud. It is a similar to the Command Instrument Rating, but can
only be used for private flights.
