Night VFR Training
While there are many ratings available the “Night Rating” is
usually the first to be attained. A Night VFR rating allows a pilot
to fly at night providing the weather conditions permit Visual Flight.
A Night VFR rating is normally conducted during the winter months,
when the sunset is earlier and the weather is generally better
for night flying. The Night VFR Rating takes approximately 10
hours plus
a flight test. This will include night circuits and night navigation.
There is also a small amount of theory to be covered.
